Ahead of Veterans Day, the County of Maui Office of Economic Development (OED) is holding a free Veterans and Military Families Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2026, outside the County’s Kalana O Maui building at 200 S. High St., Wailuku.

The resource fair will connect veterans, military spouses and their families with community organizations offering employment assistance, career training, education, benefits and supportive services that promote long-term economic stability and self-sufficiency. Free malasadas will be provided while supplies last.

Maui Economic Opportunity Inc. will provide shuttle transportation for Hāna residents wishing to attend. Hāna residents interested in reserving shuttle transportation may contact Claire Carroll at (808) 633-0657 or Claire.Carroll@MauiCounty.gov by Friday, Nov. 6, 2026.

Organizations participating in this year’s Veterans and Military Families Resource Fair will cover:

  • Employment and career services
  • Education and training
  • Veterans’ benefits
  • Housing
  • Food assistance
  • Health and wellness
  • Childcare
  • Financial resources
  • Transportation
  • Community and supportive services

Offered in partnership with the Maui County Workforce Development Board and Maui American Job Center, the fair aligns with Mayor Richard Bissen’s workforce development initiatives by connecting veterans and military families with employment, education and training resources.

It also advances the goals of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, a federal law designed to help job seekers access career opportunities and help employers meet their workforce needs. Eligible veterans and spouses receive priority of service for qualifying workforce programs.

For more information, contact Chentelle Rowland, Executive Director, Maui County Workforce Development Board at (808) 463-3173 or Chentelle.L.Rowland@MauiCounty.gov. For a list of participating organizations at the Veterans and Military Families Resource Fair, visit www.mauicounty.gov/OED.
